South Korea releases melon and muscat gift set

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors FC (Director General Lee Dohyun) has partnered with Bukjeonju NongHyup Hanaro Mart to release a premium fruit gift set for Chuseok.

The set weighs 5.6 kg and contains two melons of about 2 kg each and two bunches of Shine Muscat grapes of about 800 g each. A Jeonbuk Hyundai postcard book with 20 player photographs is also included.

The fruits are supplied as domestic agricultural products through a NongHyup-guaranteed selection and cold distribution system. The gift set will be available in limited quantities. Online preorders start on September 16 at 10 a.m. through NongHyup Mall, while offline sales begin at Bukjeonju NongHyup Hanaro Mart on September 29.

The selling price is set at 75,000 won (US$54) online and 82,000 won (US$59) offline. Online buyers will receive a 5,000-won (US$3.60) coupon.

This follows the FRUITS FRIDAY event game in August, which featured local fruits and drew consumer interest. With this Chuseok release, Jeonbuk Hyundai is again connecting with Jeolla Province agriculture.

The company stated that it regards regional agriculture as an asset that can extend into intellectual property and that it plans to introduce additional product lines in the future.
