The new 100-gram pack of table grapes is fresh, modern, and convenient. It is designed to make this fruit a daily snack option. The concept was developed by the Lonigro Group in Noicattaro, Apulia, Italy.

Francesca Lonigro, the company's sales manager (pictured on the side), explains: "Many people associate grapes with eating after lunch, but they can also be a healthy and enjoyable snack at other times of day. The challenge was to offer a smaller, more convenient portion size for children at school, athletes after physical activity, and office workers looking for a quick snack."
A 'healthy snack' within everyone's reach
The 100-gram portion meets the growing need for convenience without sacrificing nutritional value. Rich in natural sugars and mineral salts, grapes are useful for children and young people during their growth phase, as well as for anyone who needs an energy boost during the day.
Thanks to its vibrant and eye-catching design, the new packaging immediately stands out on the shelves. The paper-based package has a light plastic coating inside to ensure moisture resistance. Consumers can rinse the container directly under water, making consumption even more convenient.
"Our goal was to create an eye-catching design without neglecting sustainability," Lonigro emphasizes. The material is predominantly paper, which minimizes plastic use."

Another strong point of the new pack is its versatility. The pack includes a tracking system that indicates the type of grape used and tracks the progress of the campaign.
First feedback from the market
The project started as a pilot program in regional distribution chains several weeks ago. Despite its recent launch, the results are already encouraging. "Consumers are starting to see grapes as more than just a fruit served at the end of a meal," says Lonigro. "They're viewing them as a snack to share with friends and colleagues."

The Longiro Group is now expanding to include national distribution. Numerous other large retail chains have made similar requests. Over the next few weeks, the new format will be introduced at several sales outlets throughout Italy.
Fresh new ideas for a constantly changing sector
This initiative is the work of a young team that is not shy about experimenting. "Everyone in the company is under 40," Lonigro recalls, "and that pushes us to come up with new ideas. Breaking into a traditional market is not easy, but we believe innovations like this can make grapes more accessible to a wider audience and meet new consumer needs."

With the 100-gram pack, the Lonigro Group is sending a clear message: grapes can be a modern, practical, and sustainable snack without losing their identity.
