Itaueira began harvesting at its newest farm in Morada Nova, Ceará, in September, resuming exports with a focus on the European and Middle Eastern markets. The company cultivates 3,000 hectares of melon across Bahia, Ceará, and Piauí, supplying North America, Europe, South America, and the Middle East. In total, Itaueira manages 34,000 hectares of land, of which 18,245 hectares are preserved, including part of the Serra das Confusões National Park in Piauí.

The producer plans to present its REI® brand concept at the fair, consolidating its premium fruit line under a single name. Initial shipments of the 2025/2026 season began in early September, with distribution expanding in Italy, the Netherlands, England, Spain, Canada, and the Middle East.

At the exhibition, Itaueira will display its traditional yellow melon and seedless mini watermelon, alongside new varieties such as Piel de Sapo, Galia, Cantaloupe, and Matisse melons. Pre-harvest meetings with distributors have already taken place, focusing on product availability, sustainability in production, and international expansion strategies.

According to Aryan Schut, International Sales Manager at Itaueira, the event provides a platform to outline the company's position in the European market and to present upcoming varieties to global buyers.
