Once again, this year, Cora Seeds – an Italian seed company – welcomed over 120 operators from 35 countries, including stakeholders and industry press, to its headquarters for three intense days of meetings, visits to experimental fields and technical discussions. This was a strategic moment to share visions, strengthen relationships along the supply chain and present new varieties, the result of constant research and development, which has always been at the heart of the company's mission.
The 2025 edition confirmed innovation as the common thread running through the entire event, a core value of the company's philosophy. The focus was on new commercial and experimental varieties designed to respond effectively to the challenges posed by climate change and the evolution of global markets, without forgetting the specific needs of the domestic market.
In the experimental fields, the focus was on the different types of flagship crops made by Cora Seeds: Watermelon, onion and indeterminate tomato, with a space also dedicated to the study of other species such as carrot, cucumber, aubergine, melon, pepper, determinate tomato and courgette, which have strengthened the international positioning of the Cesena-based company, as evidenced by the significant growth of these species in specific markets.

"Our commitment to varietal innovation - says Maurizio Bacchi, CEO of Cora Seeds - translates into continuous investment in research and development, with the aim of offering competitive, versatile and reliable genetics. We focus on varieties that combine productivity, adaptability to different areas and resistance to environmental stress".
"Open Days are very valuable to us, as they represent a precious opportunity to stimulate discussion, stay up to date on changes in the sector and contribute to the growth of the entire supply chain. In a domestic market that has shown signs of slowing down in recent years, our international growth makes this meeting even more strategic. Having the opportunity to bring together our international distributors, national partners and all the players in the supply chain in a single context allows us not only to present the results of our work but also to share strategic information, market evidence and emerging trends, some of which are already established in certain areas and under development in others".
"Today we serve over 50 countries worldwide - says Alessandro Bacchi, Product Manager at Cora Seeds - and our exports now account for 50% of our turnover, thanks to a network of partners who distribute our products all over the world. This is a concrete sign of trust for us and allows us to grow prudently through a continuous exchange of information. Every year, the Open Days amplify this exchange and help us to position varieties suited to individual basins on the market."
