The Ukrainian raspberry market in 2025 has demonstrated an atypical price trajectory, according to the Ukrainian Berry Association. Unlike the usual model, where prices stabilize from early June through July, this season saw a sharp decline at the end of July, followed by a quick rebound.
Price dynamics by period
June 17–30: High starting prices with early corrections. In Kyiv, wholesale raspberries traded at about €8.9/kg, while in Lviv, prices moved from €9.4 to €8.3/kg. Demand for processing and irregular intake schedules balanced the first harvest wave.
July 1–15: Gradual decline. Prices fell to €3.3–3.8/kg in Kyiv and €5.6–4.4/kg in Lviv, reflecting mass harvesting and average fruit quality.
July 16–31: Sharp downturn. Kyiv saw prices fluctuate between €3.8 and €3.4 before recovering to €4.1/kg, while in Lviv they collapsed from €4.4 to €2.0/kg as late varieties entered the market and processing capacity was exceeded.
August 1–22: Recovery. Kyiv prices rose from €3.8 to €5.0/kg, while Lviv increased from €2.0 to €4.7/kg as volumes declined and processors absorbed surplus fruit.
August 23–26: Stabilization. Kyiv prices held at around €5.0/kg, while Lviv adjusted slightly from €4.7 to €4.6/kg.
Analysts note that the 2025 average price corridor is significantly higher than last year. In 2024, the average hovered around €2.2/kg, while in 2025 the typical range was €4.4–5.6/kg.
