Exports of Georgian blueberries increased sharply in the first seven months of 2025, rising by 59% year-on-year. According to the National Statistics Office, the country exported 6,319 tonnes worth $42.3 million, compared to 4,558 tonnes valued at $26.6 million in the same period of 2024.
Russia remains the dominant market, taking a growing share of shipments. In January–July 2024, 86% of exports went to Russia; this year, the figure rose to 94%.
Overall, blueberries were sold to nine countries:
- Russia: 5,947 tonnes, $39.9M
- UAE: 66.5 tonnes, $559,500
- Poland: 86.3 tonnes, $556,700
- Germany: 68.3 tonnes, $541,400
- Netherlands: 68.2 tonnes, $425,100
- Armenia: 79.2 tonnes, $283,700
- India: 5.8 tonnes, $55,300
- USA: 2.4 tonnes, $2,700
- France: small shipment worth about $200
Imports of blueberries into Georgia also edged higher. Between January and July 2025, the country purchased $621,100 worth, compared to $568,100 in the same period last year.
