Guillin's Fresh Produce Business Unit

Safe and sustainable packaging: How to innovate fruit and vegetables

Protecting the freshness of fruit and vegetables while respecting the environment: This is the mission of the Fresh Produce Business Unit, which brings together Ciesse Paper, Dynaplast, Nespak, Sharpak, and Veripack for the Guillin Group, with four production sites specialising in PP and PET and a dedicated cardboard plant. At Fruit Attraction 2025 in Madrid, the company will showcase a portfolio of solutions that raise the bar for sustainable packaging.

Sharptek, for example, is the new patented tray for the most delicate fruits: it eliminates the need for protective materials such as bubble wrap, reduces overall weight by up to 17% and, thanks to its recyclable mono-material, combines protection and lightness while respecting sustainability.

With Ravipack Snap & Go, innovation becomes everyday practice: Heat-sealable RPET trays, breathable and separable, designed for berries, cherry tomatoes, and dried fruit. The portioned design reduces waste and makes consumption even smarter.

Food safety, on the other hand, finds its highest expression in Securipack, the tamper-proof container that retains its seal even after opening, thereby preventing leakage. It is perfect for snacks and cut fruit, and is also available with a fork and in Rpet certified Prevented Ocean Plastic.

Alongside plastic, the commitment to the cardboard front is also growing. Boasting 40 years of experience, Ciesse Paper offers made-to-measure packaging with great aesthetic impact, including the Maxipack Handle line with integrated handle: practical, visible, and easy to carry.

An absolute novelty is the cardboard tray with heat-sealed edges, the result of a collaboration with Nespak: a single machine and the same pet film pack cardboard or Rpet plastic trays, with no changes in production.

Between 30 September and 2 October, the Group will be meeting buyers and industry professionals at Fruit Attraction (stand 9F23) to present its vision - packaging that protects freshness, simplifies logistics, and reduces environmental impact.
