From January to July 2025, Azerbaijan exported 54,277 tonnes of peaches (including nectarines) worth USD 65.7 million, according to the State Statistics Committee. This represents a 76% increase in volume and a 72% increase in value compared to the same period in 2024.
Main export destinations:
- Russia: 50,282 t / USD 60.93 m (+65% by volume, +61% by value)
- Ukraine: 2,327 t / USD 2.4 m (no exports last year)
- Belarus: 963 t / USD 1.72 m (x25 in volume, x37 in value)
- UAE: 180.4 t / USD 245,000 (+86%, +83%)
- Kazakhstan: 246.2 t / USD 165,400 (+47%, +65%)
- Romania: 35.46 t / USD 39,520 (first supplies in 14 years)
- Latvia: 19.2 t / USD 23,670 (first supplies in 14 years)
- Hong Kong: 1.34 t / USD 11,810 (first supplies in 14 years)
For comparison, in 2024, Azerbaijan exported 56,404 tonnes of peaches, of which 97% went to Russia.
At the Baku-hosted Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025), Agriculture Minister Majnun Mammadov noted that while Far Eastern nations are more interested in processed goods such as wine and pomegranate juice, Middle Eastern markets are showing increasing interest in Azerbaijani fruits and vegetables.
He also highlighted hazelnuts, where Azerbaijan ranks fourth globally, with Europe as the main export destination.
