Battistini Vivai's proposals (Italy)

“Orders are now open for new fruit plant supplies”

As the 2025/26 winter season approaches, the Italian plant nursery Battistini Vivai is officially opening orders for new fruit plant supplies. Giulia Battistini, the sales manager, said, "This season offers many opportunities for nurserymen and fruit growers thanks to the availability of carefully selected, high-quality varieties. Demand for quality fruit plants continues to rise. Booking early ensures availability and allows growers to plan their orchards with confidence."

"As always, Battistini Nurseries provides technical expertise and certified nursery material. Many varieties have already sold out, so it's important to act quickly and secure plants for the next season."

She continues, "Our focus is on yellow-fleshed nectarine varieties from leading international breeders. The PSB Producción Vegetal varieties stand out with their delayed ripening while maintaining similar organoleptic characteristics. Below is a list with brief descriptions."

Copacabana
It is an extra-early, yellow-fleshed variety. It flowers early and has an early harvest time. It is a vigorous, semi-expanded tree. The small-to-medium-sized fruit has a deep red color covering its entire surface. Its strong point is that it is perfect for attracting customers during the first winter sales period when competition is low.

Luciana
It has an intermediate ripening period (just after Big Top), intense flowering, and high productivity. Its fruits are large, spherical, and have a bright, deep red skin. The flesh is consistently yellow, sweet, aromatic, and slightly acidic. Its strong points are its combination of yield, aesthetic quality, and pronounced taste, making it perfect for premium fresh consumption.

Clariss
This yellow-fleshed nectarine has medium-to-large, round fruit (size A to AA) with deep, dark red skin. It ripens medium-late and is a vigorous, semi-expanded tree with high productivity. It has consistent flesh, a balanced sub-acidic flavor, and is very aromatic. Another strong point is its excellent balance of aesthetics, taste, and yield, making it ideal for the first or second selection.

Esmeralda
This late-ripening yellow-fleshed nectarine has large, round (size A to AA) fruit with a uniform red blush. It is a vigorous tree with a semi-open growth habit and high productivity. We recommend thinning the fruit to achieve the best quality. Its strong points are its excellent presentation and very good fruit size, making it ideal for those aiming for the end of the warm season.

Extreme® 618
Among the latest ripening varieties, we propose Extreme® 618, a nectarine variety from Provedo, in Spain. Extreme® 618 exemplifies the quality of the series. It is size AA with shiny skin and is red on 70% of its surface. Its strong point is its very tasty, slightly sub-acidic flavor, which characterizes the entire line.

"This varietal range," Giulia Battistini points out, "from early to late, ensures almost uninterrupted campaign coverage. The varieties are designed to meet market demands and nursery production needs." Based in Cesena, Emilia-Romagna, Battistini Vivai is backed by extensive experience in micropropagation and professional fruit plant sales. They offer these patented varieties along with support for planting planning. We encourage nurserymen and fruit growers to contact Battistini now to reserve plants for the 2025/26 campaign."
