Peach prices across the European Union continued their downward trend through August, with the latest figures from weeks 32 to 34 showing further pressure in most major producing countries. Data from Spain, Greece, and the overall EU average highlight how prices have softened, while Italy reported no updated figures for this period.
In the wider European Union, average peach prices dropped from €186/100kg in week 32 to €178 in week 33 and further down to €170 in week 34. This marks a steady decline over three consecutive weeks, underscoring seasonal supply impacts.
Spain also saw notable decreases. Prices moved from €156/100kg in week 32 to €141 in week 33, before dipping again to €136 in week 34. The fall of €20/100kg within this short timeframe reflects strong seasonal downward momentum in the Spanish market.
Greece, however, displayed a slightly different trajectory. Prices stood at €184/100kg in week 32, then eased to €180 in week 33, but rebounded slightly to €182 in week 34. This mild recovery suggests a more stable price environment compared to Spain and the broader EU average. Italy, meanwhile, provided no updated data for this period, leaving a gap in regional comparisons.
