Croatia's agriculture ministry has launched a €30 million (US$30.8 million) tender for projects aimed at strengthening the domestic food industry and supporting rural areas.
According to the ministry, the funds have been allocated to projects for the processing of fruit and vegetables, including olives and table grapes.
Agriculture minister David Vlajcic said: "I believe that the support provided under this intervention will enable the creation of added value in agriculture, both for primary agricultural producers and for those whose sole activity is the processing of agricultural products."
The tender has been issued by the state agency for payments in agriculture, fisheries, and rural development, which implements support measures financed jointly by the state budget and the European Union.
The call for applications remains open until November 20.
