48 companies and four regions at the Freskon Greece pavilion at Fruit Attraction

Expanded business opportunities with Greek enterprises are being offered this year at Fruit Attraction through the collective participation of Freskon Greece. As the project manager of the mission, Mrs. Tonia Nikolaidou, points out, "This year's Freskon Greece mission to Fruit Attraction 2025 is the strongest to date. 48 Greek companies are participating in the national pavilion, representing a wide spectrum of the agri-food sector. Also present are four of the country's Regions (Central Macedonia, Epirus, Eastern Macedonia & Thrace, and Attica)."

According to Mrs. Nikolaidou, the commercial discussions of the Greek companies will focus mainly on cherries, grapes, kiwifruit, peaches and nectarines, citrus fruits, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, and apples.

The organizers of Freskon Greece, through participation in Madrid, aim not only to promote Greek companies abroad but also to strengthen the international profile of the International Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Exhibition Freskon, whose tenth edition will take place in April 2026 in Thessaloniki. "We are reinforcing Freskon's presence in major international trade fairs such as Fruit Attraction and FruitAttraction-São Paulo, creating partnerships with institutional and commercial bodies abroad, and attracting top buyers with a specific commercial interest in Greek products," Mrs. Nikolaidou explains.

"Freskon, the leading international exhibition of fresh fruit and vegetables in the Balkans and Southeastern Europe, is held annually in Thessaloniki and serves as a steady meeting point for producers, exporters, large retail chains, as well as machinery and packaging service companies. With its strategic location at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa, Freskon has established itself as a catalyst for business collaborations and as a gateway for the development of extroverted actions of the agri-food sector," adds the project manager of the exhibition.

Addressing foreign companies in particular, she states: "Participation in Freskon offers the opportunity to present their products to a specialized and international audience, with emphasis on quality and innovation, professional networking with decision-makers from Europe's largest retail chains and other markets, all within a strategic location, since Thessaloniki serves as an ideal gateway for entering dynamic markets in Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa."

"Already, strong interest is being recorded for participation by both Greek and international exhibitors, while new thematic sections and enriched parallel events are being scheduled. The 10th Freskon aspires to further consolidate its role as a reference point for developments in the fresh fruit and vegetable sector in Southeastern Europe," concludes Freskon's project manager.
