Between January and August 2025, Azerbaijan exported 539,485 tonnes of fruits and vegetables, marking a 32.2% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to the State Customs Committee.
The total value of these exports also rose by 32.2%, reaching $560.7 million. Fruits and vegetables accounted for 3.29% of Azerbaijan's overall exports during the reporting period, compared with 2.33% a year earlier.
On the import side, Azerbaijan purchased 257,075 tonnes of fruits and vegetables, over the same eight months, a 5.9% year-on-year increase. The value of imports climbed by 11.3% to $202.8 million. Their share in the country's total imports amounted to 1.35%, down from 1.43% in January–August 2024.
