New agricultural research laboratory launched in Lviv

A modern agricultural research laboratory has been opened at the National University in Lviv as part of the project "AgroScout Center: A path to innovative support and development of small agricultural producers."

The initiative focuses on three main areas: training under the AgroScouting program, launching a research laboratory, and providing expert consulting and support to farmers. The project aims to give smallholders and small-scale agricultural producers access to advanced research and diagnostics.

The new laboratory will provide services such as soil agrochemical analysis, irrigation water testing, seed quality assessment, leaf diagnostics, and identification of pests and weeds. These studies are expected to help producers make more informed decisions about crop management and improve productivity.

In addition, the facility will serve as a center for expertise and consultancy in horticulture, berry production, viticulture, and vegetable growing in both open-field and greenhouse conditions. The project also supports mobile diagnostics, with specialists equipped to carry out on-site testing and provide recommendations directly to farms.

According to the organizers, the laboratory combines the expertise of university faculty, industry experts, and modern equipment purchased within the framework of the project.
