Mastronardi Produce is looking to make waves at the International Fresh Produce Association's Global Produce & Floral Show (GPFS) in Anaheim, CA this October with a bold new theme: Flavor Coast to Coast.
From the East to the West Coast, the company has an extensive network of greenhouses and distribution centers across North America to ensure wide availability and a steady supply of fresh and flavorful produce under the flagship Sunset® brand, as well as the Backyard Farms® and Queen of Greens® brands. By controlling climate, light, and nutrients in state-of-the-art greenhouses, it ensures that all tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, berries, and lettuce are packed with top-quality flavor, no matter the time of year.
© MastronardiGPFS attendees will also see the debut of the redesigned Sunset Angel Sweet® package. This fresh new look complements the other Sunset tomato offerings and highlights the product with charming design elements, including a bumblebee with wings. The bees are not just visually appealing; they also symbolize the greenhouse Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices used in the growing process. This new design is intended to improve shelf presence and reflect the brand's commitment to inspire healthy living through flavor, freshness, and consistency.
Also debuting at GPFS are Sunset's Summer Blast™ Blueberry Snacking Cup. These single-serve, resealable containers feature the sweet and crunchy Summer Blast Blueberries for on-the-go snacking. Designed with busy families, health-conscious millennials, and flavor-seekers in mind, the product offers a delicious alternative to processed snacks, with no compromise on taste or freshness.
The latest Backyard Farms® Greenleaf Lettuce packaging is also pushing the boundaries in the lettuce category and is designed with consumers and the planet in mind. The new resealable lettuce bag helps keep leafy greens crisp, fresh, and delicious with a 65 percent reduction in plastic compared to a traditional PET tray. This new package format provides consumers with alternatives to conventional plastic packaging. Earlier this year, this package was honored with the Packaging Innovation Award at the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) Convention and Tradeshow.
Show attendees are invited to visit the company's booth, #4157, to take all of these developments in. The company's LinkedIn page will also be posting a video series for a sneak peek at the flavors en route to Anaheim this October.
