United Fresh publishes nutrition labelling guide

Most of us know the old saying, 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away'. But how can we better communicate just how essential it is to eat fruit and vegetables for good health?

Including nutrient content and health claims on fresh fruit and vegetable packaging is a powerful way to inform and inspire consumers. Clear and accurate nutrition labelling builds consumer trust, supports informed food choices, and promotes the wider health benefits of fresh produce.

United Fresh has produced A Guide to Complying with the Nutrition, Health and Related Claims Standard 1.2.7 of the Australia New Zealand Food Standards Code. This guide is available to United Fresh members.

Making sure your product packaging is backed by clear, compliant nutrition labelling that highlights key health benefits is a simple way to build trust, boost sales, and show consumers why fresh produce matters.
