Following the start of production at its state-of-the-art plant in Hanover at the beginning of 2024, Intech Worldwide GmbH recently announced its next expansion step. In spring 2026, a production site for plastic load carriers is scheduled to go into operation in Bandırma, in northwestern Turkey. The total capacity of the new plant comprises 11,000 m² of production and storage space with room for expansion. The international industry supplier is thus consistently continuing its expansion course.

From its headquarters in Hanover, Intech already serves numerous customers in a wide range of countries and sectors, including the fruit and vegetable sector. "Our export share is currently around 40 percent, but due to high transport expenses and limited reach, we are reaching our natural limits in terms of exports. Accordingly, additional locations are crucial," explains Bastian Denzer (above), Director of Sales & Logistics at the company, when asked. "Bandırma offers us a strategic location between Europe and Asia, enabling us to serve new and existing markets more quickly and efficiently. We are already starting there with 10 injection molding machines with clamping forces ranging from 400 to 1,700 tons."

Scalable pallets as a growth driver
Founded in 2008, the company has deliberately expanded its product range in recent years. Denzer: "Scalable pallets, which can be flexibly adjusted in small increments in terms of load capacity and price, are currently among the biggest growth drivers. In addition, there are reusable pallets and containers with new dimensions for different solutions, as well as ESD pallets, for which demand is growing rapidly. In the agricultural sector in particular, we are seeing more and more producers and transport companies opting for recycled plastic pallets instead of wooden ones, as these solutions are not only durable and relatively inexpensive but also environmentally friendly. Classic disposable products are remaining constant or declining, while reusable and sustainable solutions are growing significantly."
The Green-Line reusable container, introduced in 2022, is enjoying increasing popularity, especially in the fruit and vegetable industry. "Our Green-Line folding container series is also a strong export driver and is used not only in the agricultural sector but also in branch deliveries to food retail markets. Basically, the solution is considered a forward-looking replacement for cardboard boxes and plastic film."
Economy and ecology
In total, Intech Worldwide GmbH will be represented at five trade fairs this year, three of which are international: LogiMAT (Stuttgart), SITL (Paris), Fachpack (Nuremberg), Eurasia Packaging (Istanbul), and Prod&Pack (Lyon). The company will be represented by sales partners at the important trade fairs in the fruit and vegetable sector. Denzer emphasizes that the market is clearly moving toward reusability and the circular economy across all sectors. "We are focusing on reusable solutions that reduce volume, increase traceability—especially for pooling pallets—and prioritize durability. The use of PCR materials has been expanded for years, consistently increasing the proportion of recycled materials. This enables us to offer our customers future-proof solutions that are both economically and ecologically convincing."
