Tropicaux, a company based in Guinea specialising in dried fruit production and exports, has adopted machinery from Kronen GmbH to support its pineapple processing operations. The company produces dried pineapple rings for international markets, including the U.S., the EU, and several African countries.

At its Guinean facility, Tropicaux processes around 20,000 kilograms of fresh, locally grown fruit each day. Most of this fruit comes from the "Baron" pineapple variety, which is cultivated in the region. After preparation, the fruit is dried and packed for export.
To support its processing line, Tropicaux has installed several manual devices from Kronen. The line includes MAK pineapple top and tail cutting devices, which assist with preparatory work. HGW grid cutters, fitted with special inserts, are used to remove the peel and cores. MASS pineapple slicers, then cut the fruit into rings of either 10 or 20 millimeters in thickness.

The combination of these machines allows the company to carry out peeling, coring, and slicing with greater uniformity while keeping the process relatively straightforward and low-maintenance.
The manual systems in use allow Tropicaux to expand capacity as needed by adding further units to the line. According to Mamadi Diané, co-founder of Tropicaux, the investment in this equipment supports the company's efforts to expand processing volumes while maintaining product quality.
