From August 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, Georgia exported 18,200 tons of hazelnuts, with the majority supplied to the EU market, according to a statement from the Ministry of Agriculture.
The total export value amounted to US$119.7 million.
Compared to the same period last year, the export volume increased by 25% (3,600 tons), while the export value rose by 45% (US$36.9 million).
The average export price per kilogram of hazelnuts during this period was US$6.59, 16% higher than the previous year.
Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to EU countries, including Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Poland, the Czech Republic, and others. In addition to the EU markets, hazelnuts were also exported to Armenia, Israel, Turkey, China, Morocco, Russia, and Algeria.
