In December 2020, Al-Jouf announced plans to build a processing facility to convert locally grown potatoes into French fries for domestic and export markets. To implement the project, the company partnered with Kiremko, a supplier of turnkey potato processing technology.
The French fry factory was inaugurated in May 2024 and is equipped with automated systems for processing efficiency. Within 12 months of opening, Al-Jouf decided to expand capacity from 5 to 7.5 metric tons per hour. According to Kiremko, this was the fastest expansion recorded in its 60-year history.

With Kiremko's expertise, we have turned our vision into reality, bringing world-class French fries from Saudi soil to tables across the region. From the beginning, Kiremko understood our ambition and provided the innovation and support needed to make it happen."

Al-Jouf representatives added that the plant marks a step forward for Saudi Arabia's food industry by securing one of the region's most advanced potato processing lines. The company views the collaboration with Kiremko as an example of how technology partnerships can support the expansion of value-added processing in agriculture.
