New vegetable processing plant opens in Western Ukraine

A new vegetable processing plant, Babusia Marusia, has started production in the West Ukrainian Industrial Hub near Ternopil.

The factory produces canned vegetables, pickles (cucumbers, beans, tomatoes, and peppers), and vacuum-packed vegetable semifinished products. In 2025, the plant aims to produce 650 tonnes of canned goods.

The facility occupies 1,700 sq. m and represents an investment of 45 million UAH (€927,000). It currently employs 30 people, with plans to increase staffing in the near future. The company also intends to export products to the Baltic countries, Israel, Turkey, and Italy.
