Canada: Loblaw expands rollout of autonomous trucks
Loblaw and autonomous-trucking company Gatik have reached a five-year agreement for the Canadian grocery retailer to expand its fleet of driverless delivery trucks. In the first phase of the partnership, Loblaw said it plans to roll out 20 autonomous trucks this year and 30 next year in the greater Toronto area. The agreement represents the largest-ever planned deployment of autonomous trucks in North America, Loblaw said.
