Technical Sales Manager

(Horticulture NW Europe)


Position       

Maintain strong client relationships for current and new products

  • Creating a budget and business plan for your region.
  • Setting and achieving sales forecasts and targets.
  • Building close relationships with growers, pioneers, and strategic clients.
  • Identifying and sharing new opportunities with the team.
  • Contributing ideas for future product offerings and reviewing current ones.
  • Preparing purchase orders and providing information to administrative colleagues.
  • Focus is primarily on the Netherlands and Central Europe, with potential expansion to other countries.
  • Supporting marketing activities and participating in trade shows.
  • Reporting to the Global Sales Manager based in Spain and collaborating regularly with the sales team.


Profile

A professional with a strong focus on growth and market development

Job requirements

  • Completed higher professional education (HBO) in Horticulture, Plant Sciences, Agribusiness, or similar – or equivalent experience through work and practical training.
  • Solid knowledge of both cultivation and technology.
  • A network within greenhouse horticulture, preferably in vegetable production.
  • At least 5 years of commercial experience in a similar role; international sales experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems (Salesforce).
  • Active user of business-oriented social media (e.g., LinkedIn).

  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Results-driven and observant with a focus on innovation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Independent, well-organized, and entrepreneurial.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and focused on results.
  • Skilled in account management and building client loyalty.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English; German is a plus.


Location      

Based in the Netherlands, with willingness to travel up to approximately 40%. Home office-based.
