Filipino bananas shipped to Japan on new CNC service

CNC has launched its new JP8 service from Davao, Philippines, with the maiden voyage carrying its first shipment of fresh bananas in advanced reefer containers.

The service marks a shift away from traditional bulk shipping, offering more reliable cold chain management and consistent fruit quality.

JP8 provides a direct connection from the Philippines to major ports in East Japan, including Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, and Moji. The service is designed with dedicated capacity and optimized transit times to improve reliability for exporters and importers of perishable goods.
