Bananas statistics - week 34

Banana prices drop to €74 in Latvia while Poland rises to €123

Banana wholesale prices in several European countries showed mixed movements between week 33 (ending 17 August 2025) and week 34 (ending 24 August 2025), according to the latest market data.

In Bulgaria, prices decreased slightly from €139/100kg in week 33 to €137/100kg in week 34. A sharper decline was recorded in Latvia, where prices fell from €82/100kg to €74/100kg over the same period.

In contrast, Hungary saw a modest rise from €134/100kg to €136/100kg. A stronger increase was noted in Poland, where prices moved from €114/100kg to €123/100kg. Slovakia also recorded a notable jump, with prices climbing from €123/100kg in week 33 to €134/100kg in week 34.

These changes reflect varying supply and demand dynamics across the region, with some markets experiencing downward pressure while others registered clear price gains.
