In the first half of 2025, Colombia's agricultural exports reached US$5.62 billion, up 36 per cent from the same period in 2024. Bananas grew 6.2 per cent, Hass avocado 27.6 per cent, and Tahiti lemon 15.7 per cent.
Commerce Minister Diana Marcela Morales Rojas said: "The behavior of what the country exported in the first six months of the year in products other than oil and coal, ratifies not only the behavior that non-mining exports have been registering for months, but also that step by step we are advancing in the transformation of the productive fabric and the diversification of the export basket."
Antioquia, Bogotá, Cundinamarca, and Magdalena were among the regions driving growth, with Huila recording the largest increase at 50 per cent. In June alone, Colombia exported US$2.11 billion in non-mining goods, up 20.4 per cent year-on-year.
