In week 30, average wholesale prices for bananas from Latin America and the Caribbean decreased across all selected countries compared to the previous week (week 29).
In Germany (DE), prices dropped slightly from €131/100kg in week 29 to €129/100kg in week 30. Spain (ES) recorded a marginal decline, with prices moving from €124/100kg to €123/100kg. France (FR) followed a similar trend, with prices easing from €109/100kg to €108/100kg.
Latvia (LV) also registered a decrease, with prices moving from €91/100kg in week 29 to €89/100kg in week 30. The most notable change occurred in Romania (RO), where prices fell sharply from €152/100kg to €132/100kg, marking the largest week-on-week drop among the listed countries.
Overall, the data shows a consistent downward movement in banana prices for these markets between weeks 29 and 30, though the extent of the decline varied from small adjustments in Western Europe to more substantial changes in Eastern Europe.
