The season in Jalisco has progressed positively and steadily. Moisés Barbeyto, Antonio Núñez, and Jorge Hernández from DG Fresh Group note that their vertical integration strategy—covering production, packaging, and logistics—has contributed to consistent operations during the season.

"We have been able to maintain a steady flow of quality fruit to our clients throughout the season," the company stated, highlighting the importance of integrating orchards and packaging.

"In the field, DG Fresh Group has maintained its use of fertigation technologies and remote monitoring systems to optimise yields and processes. On the packing side, investments have been directed towards more efficient packaging lines and support facilities like cold rooms with remote temperature controls, enabling instant adjustments during storage and shipping," they added.

This season's main export destinations were the United States, Canada, Japan, and the Middle East. "Our shipments adhere to international standards like USDA, GlobalGAP, and SMETA, ensuring we can guarantee fruit quality, traceability, and food safety," they stressed.

The United States remains a key market, and growth in Japan, the Middle East, and Canada has been consistent. "Geographical diversification allows us to balance risks and capitalize on opportunities across different seasons and consumption segments," they noted.

However, the season came with challenges. "The company has experienced changing weather, rising international logistics costs, and reduced demand in certain markets. It has been quite complex to predict the dates and amounts for potential new tariffs, so we've aimed to anticipate any possible changes," they stated.

Despite these challenges, DG Fresh Group emphasizes the resilience of its supply chain and its strong ties with customers and producers. "Thanks to innovation, integration, and robust relationships, we have managed to overcome obstacles without sacrificing quality or our commitments."

They believe there is significant potential for future growth by further expanding into international markets. This confidence is supported by their reforestation initiatives, effective water management, and social programs that highlight their dedication to sustainability.

Global avocado consumption continues to grow as people seek healthier and more natural foods. In this environment, DG Fresh Group expects steady and profitable growth.
