A new Mango King has been named at the 2025 Brisbane Markets Mango Auction, where Chris Frame from The Standard Market Company secured the title with a bid of AU$66,000 (US$43,000).
Proceeds from the auction will go to Redkite, which provides support to families with a child facing cancer, and The Lady Musgrave Trust, which assists young women experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Brisbane Markets Limited Deputy Chair Peter Tighe said the event continues to be a central fixture of the Brisbane Markets calendar. "It is a great opportunity for our industry to gather together and give back to Queensland families in need," he said.
Alongside the symbolic first tray of mangoes, other auction and raffle items contributed to the fundraising effort. According to organisers, the 2025 event raised more than AU$81,000 (US$52,700) for the nominated charities.
Market representatives also reported that the outlook for the 2025 mango season is positive, with high yields and good quality fruit expected.
