In a European context marked by growing demand for tropical fruit, Montosa has started the mango season with good volumes and high quality. The prospects for domestic avocados are just as favorable. The company is approaching the new campaign with ambitious sales programs already signed with various distributors.

A more generous mango season
After a 2024 harvest marked by low volumes, the situation is very different this year. "Last year, production was very limited, but mango volumes are much higher this year and all sizes are available, with consistent quality," according to Thierry Athimon, Montosa's sales manager. "When the fruit is plentiful, everyone rushes to harvest it, but we make sure that each fruit has a good color and that latex stains are kept to a minimum. That is what makes our mangoes so popular." Thierry Athimon also underlined Montosa's ongoing commitment to quality in fruit monitoring.

Positive outlook for avocados
Last winter's heavy rainfall has also helped to forecast a good season for domestic avocados. "The abundance of water has boosted production, both in terms of volume and size. Although we remain cautious and are waiting for the harvest to confirm yields, our forecasts are encouraging for both conventional and organic production," explains Thierry Athimon.

Guacamole, the leader in supermarkets
Montosa continues to expand with its fresh guacamole for supermarkets. "In Spain, we have been supplying the main supermarket chain for many years. This collaboration has been essential in popularizing the consumption of guacamole," explains Thierry Athimon. Made from 100% fresh avocados and processed in our own facilities using state-of-the-art HPP technology, Montosa guacamole stands out for its texture and organoleptic qualities. "We offer a product of excellence. We have invested in increased production capacity and automation. We are also preparing new references to expand distribution in Europe and offer new recipes."
