Nutrifresh brand Green Pistachio has been recalled in Canada due to possible Salmonella contamination. The affected lot, 306.24IR41, with a best-before date of November 2026, was distributed in Ontario and Quebec. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) advised consumers, retailers, and food service operators not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the product. The recall is part of an ongoing food safety investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak.
Additional pistachio-containing products sold at Soltan Bakery in Mississauga, Ontario, are also being recalled for the same reason. These clerk-served products were sold between May 17 and May 30, 2025. Items include Assbeh with Pistachio, Kol O Shkor with Pistachio, Swar with Pistachio, Turkish Assbeh with Pistachio, Balaurieh with Pistachio, Basma with Pistachio, Borma with Pistachio, Eash Alesfur with Pistachio, and Baklava with Pistachio. The CFIA confirmed that the products are being withdrawn from the market due to potential Salmonella contamination.
Both recalls are linked to the same ongoing investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak. Further details and related recall notifications are available through the CFIA Food Safety Investigation page. Consumers are advised not to consume the affected pistachio products.
