McCormack Family Farms has issued an update to Food Alert 2025.47 regarding the recall of spinach and mixed leaves products following the detection of Listeria monocytogenes.
The additional batches under recall are Fresh Choice Market Mixed Leaves, 100 g packs, with batch codes JD234 and JD238. The products are of Irish origin. Recall notices will be displayed at the point of sale.

Authorities stated there is currently no evidence linking this recall with the listeriosis outbreak related to ready-to-heat meals that remains under investigation.
Symptoms of Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like signs or gastrointestinal issues such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea. In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, leading to complications. Higher-risk groups include pregnant women, babies, elderly individuals, and people with weakened immune systems. The incubation period averages three weeks but can range from three to seventy days.
Retailers have been asked to remove the implicated batches from sale and display recall notices. Wholesalers and distributors should inform their customers, recall the affected batches, and provide recall notices to retail outlets. Caterers are instructed not to use the listed batches.
