Canada recalls Habibi pistachios over salmonella

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall notification for Habibi brand Pistachio Kernel due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recall affects the 10 kg package size with UPC 70847446000626 and lot number 344.24IR41, bearing a best-before date of January 2027.

The product, distributed in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec, is being recalled by Green Farm Pistachio Inc. The notification, classified as a Class 2 recall, was published on August 13, 2025, and applies to hotels, restaurants, institutions, and manufacturers.

The CFIA advises that the affected pistachio kernels should not be used, sold, served, or distributed.
