Wholesale fruit and vegetable prices UK - week 39:

UK apple, plum, and raspberry prices decline week on week

The latest wholesale market data shows a price decrease for Apples Egremont Russet compared to the previous week. The average price per kilogram fell from £1.62 in the previous week to £1.49 in the current week, representing a decline of £0.13 or 8%.

Apples Gala also recorded a lower average price this week. Prices moved from £1.43 per kilogram in the previous week to £1.39 per kilogram, a decrease of £0.04 or 3%.

In the stone fruit category, Plums Victoria showed a notable reduction in value. The average price per kilogram dropped from £2.14 in the previous week to £1.98 this week, a difference of £0.16 or 7%.

Raspberries followed the same trend, with the average price per kilogram falling from £12.25 to £11.56. This represents a decline of £0.69 or 6% over the week.
