Exhibitors look back on a successful in-house exhibition at Weiling GmbH:

"A palpable spirit of optimism with a focus on efficiency, process optimization, and resilient partnerships"

On September 6 and 7, Weiling GmbH hosted its popular in-house exhibition at its headquarters in Coesfeld (North Rhine-Westphalia). The colorful supporting program and exhibitor program focused on innovations, discussions, and personal encounters relating to all kinds of organic food. Guided tours of the premises took place on both days. The event attracted a total of around 1,400 trade visitors to Coesfeld.

(Regional) Organic fruit and vegetables are an integral part of the Weiling portfolio and were therefore well represented at the in-house exhibition. Bottom left: The stand of Bio-Augustin from Jork, a long-standing Weiling partner for organic top fruit from the Altes Land region.

Good quality discussions characterize the first day of the fair
According to the organizer and some exhibitors, the in-house exhibition was well attended again this year. "On Saturday, there were a particularly large number of shop owners on site, whose keen interest led to wonderful discussions. Sunday was also well attended, with the focus here on discussions with shop employees who were interested in finding out more about the products," summarizes Hinrich Quast, exhibitor and managing director of Bio-Augustin from Jork.

"The fruit and vegetable area of the Weiling producers right at the entrance to the tent was particularly striking," said Quast, who was represented alongside other fruit and vegetable suppliers such as Obst Krämer and Pilzgarten GmbH. "The high quality and presentation of the fruit and vegetables, paired with snacks made from the producers' own products, was very noticeable. Overall, there was a good, friendly atmosphere in the exhibition tent. We ourselves are very satisfied and are already looking forward to the next trade fair in Coesfeld on September 12 & 13, 2026."

A strong signal for continuity and innovative strength
Torsten Jonas from Pilzgarten GmbH in Helvesiek, who also had a stand in the fruit and vegetable exhibition area, looks back on a successful event. "The in-house exhibition in Weiling's 50th anniversary year is a strong signal for continuity and innovative strength. What sets this event apart is the professional organization, clear visitor guidance, and high-quality presentation areas. Both days of the fair were well attended, with slightly higher attendance on Sunday. The high quality of the professional contacts is also worth mentioning: decision-makers from trade and processing were on site, which contributed significantly to many concrete opportunities for discussion."

The organic fruit and vegetable exhibitor area attracted a lot of interest from visitors. Jonas: "Our Demeter mushrooms received a very positive response, which in turn confirms the demand for regional, transparent, and 'honest' products. Parameters such as storytelling and origin play a central role here. We also received additional positive feedback on the breadth of our range, the freshness, and the consistent product quality of our mushrooms." Concrete starting points for cooperation were also identified (e.g., joint promotions, seasonal campaigns, POS material, and tastings). Saturday evening in the outdoor areas with street food and perfect weather was particularly well-suited for this.

The general mood in the organic sector is constructive and solution-oriented, the organic mushroom producer continues. "However, ubiquitous challenges such as staff shortages and cost increases are being actively addressed. Overall, however, we see a noticeable spirit of optimism with a focus on efficiency, process optimization, and resilient partnerships. Sustainability, packaging reduction, and short supply chains continue to gain importance."

Mobile presentation islands and promotional stands from Pack'nlog in Austria are also well received in the organic sector.
