Putts and clay targets keep networking fresh at SWIPE 2026

Some people love to network. Others find it awkward or exhausting. That said, the Southwest International Produce Expo is designed to be a refreshing place to connect and conduct business. This upcoming event, SWIPE, is shifting how trade show business gets done.

An attendee favorite, Putt-A-Palooza is SWIPE's answer to the 16th hole. It brings the entire event together for an afternoon of putting challenges, cold beverages, and prize-packed games. Attendees, whether they golf or not, are invited to swing by, sip on something, and compete for prizes ranging from Bluetooth headsets to bottles of top-shelf spirits. It's casual, energetic, and packed with personality.

Putt-A-Palooza brings SWIPE attendees together and takes place on the afternoon of January 22, during the SWIPE Desert Classic, a tournament co-hosted by the FPAA and the Fresh Produce & Floral Council. Attendees can cheer on their golfing friends, interact with the teams as they take a swing by the Putt-A-Palooza course, and meet other attendees.

For attendees ready to swap the tradeshow buzz for fresh air and marksmanship, the SWIPE Desert Clay Shootout at Tucson Trap and Skeet Club offers a laid-back setting to unwind and connect with fellow attendees. Happening on Saturday, January 24, this event is part of SWIPE's stay-and-play programming, which also includes a pickleball tournament and a border tour to some of the local warehouses that handle fresh produce.

The smaller group Saturday events, like the Desert Clay Shootout, are for those who want to stay and enjoy the SWIPE desert vibes for just a little longer.

"At SWIPE, strong relationships are built on more than business cards. It's about shared experiences that lead to meaningful business relationships," said FPAA president Lance Jungmeyer. "Whether it's on the green or at the range, we create moments that spark opportunities for fresh partnerships."

These events provide a relaxed space for industry pros to build trust that drives deals. Whether attendees are a grower, shipper, retailer, or buyer, SWIPE's casual networking environment is where business relationships begin — or deepen.

From educational sessions and informal receptions to the retreat-style environment of the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort & Spa in Tucson, attendees can network their own way at SWIPE on January 22-24. Click here to register.
