UK: Co-op says cyberattack cost it $108mln
Britain's Co-op Group said disruption caused by a cyberattack in April cost it 80mln pounds ($108mln) of operating profit in its first half, dragging it to a loss. The 181-year-old Co-op, which runs a food retail business and also has funeral care, legal and insurance businesses, said the attack meant it lost 206mln pounds of revenue over the six months to July 5.

Pepco Group's revenue boosted by growth at core brand
European discount retailer Pepco Group reported higher year-to-date revenue helped by store expansion and like-for-like growth at its core Pepco brand. For its full 2025 fiscal year, the group reiterated its guidance for revenue to exceed 4.5bln euros ($4.8bln) and said that underlying core profit growth would be towards the top-end of its high single-digit range guidance.

Greek supermarket chains fined €2.2mln for profiteering
Two Greek supermarket chains were fined more than €2.2mln ($2.59mln) for violating the code of conduct on promotions and going past profit margin caps, following inspections. The Ministry of Development announced the penalties against the German-based budget chain Lidl and Sklavenitis, Greece's major chain. Lidl was fined €805,340 ($946,850) for breaches of the profit margin cap. The investigation, launched in 2024, concluded on September 5. Sklavenitis was fined €1.44mln ($1.69mln) for violations of the code of conduct.
