EU Banana Statistics - Week 39

Banana prices rise in Poland and Croatia while Slovakia drops

In week 39 of 2025, wholesale prices for bananas from Latin America and the Caribbean showed mixed movements across several European countries compared to the previous week. Prices are expressed in €/100kg.

In Bulgaria, prices rose slightly from €141 in week 38 to €143 in week 39. Germany recorded a marginal decline, moving from €132 to €131 over the same period. In Greece, prices also decreased by €1, from €108 to €107.

Spain registered an increase, with prices moving from €102 in week 38 to €104 in week 39. In Croatia, a sharper rise was noted, from €113 to €118. Poland saw the largest increase among the selected countries, with prices climbing from €109 to €129.

Slovakia, on the other hand, reported a steep decline. Prices dropped from €150 in week 38 to €126 in week 39.

Overall, while some markets showed stable or rising prices, others, such as Slovakia and Germany, recorded declines.
