Europlátano heads to Fruit Attraction to strengthen its global growth

Grupo Europlátano is participating in Fruit Attraction with its own booth, aiming to boost growth and strengthen its direct-to-market business model. From September 30 to October 2, the group will be at IFEMA Madrid, stand 10E01 in Hall 10, alongside its Gabaceras brand. Since 2019, Grupo Europlátano has attended this international event independently, reaffirming its dedication to excellence and differentiation.

Peninsular expansion with the new warehouse in Orozco.
Europlátano's most important milestone this year has been the launch of the new ripening warehouse in Orozco (Vizcaya), which complements the facilities in Alicante that have been operational since 2020. This investment doubles the group's ripening capacity on the peninsula and aligns with a clear geographic and commercial strategy: to cover the entire national market directly, creating value for the product, the growers, and the customers.

With this new infrastructure, Europlátano is strengthening its role as the only banana growers' organization in the Canary Islands that independently manages the entire production process, ensuring the quality and traceability of the fruit and maintaining cost efficiency.

Fruit Attraction will bring together more than 2,200 exhibiting companies from 150 countries and over 120,000 sector professionals. For Europlátano, this is a unique opportunity to expand its international presence in emerging markets and reinforce relationships with existing clients in European markets where it already operates.

First harvest on the volcano's lava
Europlátano's participation in Fruit Attraction also demonstrates its resilience in recovering from the eruption of the La Palma volcano in 2021. Thanks to the hard work and resilience of La Palma's farmers, farms have been replanted, greenhouses have been built, and irrigation systems have been restored. As a sign of this progress, the first banana harvest was gathered in early 2025 on land previously buried by the volcano.

Starting October 1st, Europlátano will launch its new campaign, "Lo nuestro, bien hecho" ('Ours, it's well done'), which emphasizes the core of the group: Being composed of 100% growers from the Canary Islands. Families who have been cultivating bananas using traditional methods for over a century and who share a unique approach to agriculture: serious, fair, and responsible.

This new campaign reflects the unique business model and philosophy of the Canarian group, grounded in the idea that every farm matters and every person makes a difference. Europlátano's commitment to its growers is defined by the statement that "growing the best bananas is our partners' job. Ensuring their future is our responsibility." This new communication proposal also highlights the group's distinctive business model, in which growers independently oversee the entire supply chain, from cultivation to processing, ripening, and marketing. From the farm to the end customer.
