Vanguard Group International makes strategic appointments

Vanguard Group International announced key organizational changes as part of its international growth strategy.

Over the past nine years, the company has experienced growth, evolving from being focused on commercialization in specific markets to becoming an integrated producer and marketer for third-party growers, with a presence in leading global destinations.

Key milestones include the development of 1,850 hectares of proprietary table grape varieties, the planting of 550 hectares of blueberries, and the opening of two modern packing houses. The company has also established a globally outstanding professional team, expanded its operations in North America, Europe, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and China, consolidated partnerships with leading international retailers, and strengthened its teams in the United States, Chile, South Africa, Peru, and Asia.

With projections to triple its production volume over the next three to five years, the company announced two key leadership appointments effective October:

  • Ethan Williams will assume the role of president of Vanguard International and Vanguard Direct, after successfully leading as vice president of sales and marketing for Vanguard International over the past two years.
  • Ignacio Ugarte will be appointed commercial director, Peru, where he will oversee the flow of proprietary production into international markets, working closely with the global sales teams to optimize long-term results.

"These changes reflect our commitment to continually strengthening our organizational structure, capitalizing on the value of our own production, and reinforcing our leadership in the world's most important markets," said Dirk Winkelmann, chief commercial officer.

With a long-term vision, the company reaffirms its commitment to delivering high-quality fresh products from field to table, driving agricultural innovation, and building strong, lasting relationships with customers and strategic partners.
