Kota Korea Co Ltd, based in the Republic of Korea, has proposed to purchase mango from Myanmar through Myanmar's economic attaché in Seoul, according to the Myanmar Mango Market and Technology Development Association.
Myanmar's fresh mango exports are primarily directed to China. In addition, value-added mango products such as pulp, dried mango, and mango sheets are exported to Russia and other trade partners.

Growers must obtain a phytosanitary certificate issued by Myanmar's Department of Agriculture and have their farms inspected on an annual basis. Exporters must also submit documentation covering registered farming areas and processing factories to APQA before shipment.
Processing facilities are required to carry out heat treatment and quarantine measures designed to prevent the spread of plant diseases. Both Myanmar and Korean regulatory bodies will undertake inspections of shipments, including sampling procedures. According to the association, "sampling (two per cent of fruit cartons and 600 fruits per batch of fresh fruit shipment) and documents to ensure safety and ensure compliance with quarantine regulations."
Importers in Korea will also assist with the required import procedures.
