Garly introduces peeled garlic to European retail

Growers Packers has launched Garly, a new brand of fresh peeled garlic, now entering the European retail market. Peeled garlic has long been used in foodservice for its convenience, and the product is now being introduced on supermarket shelves.

Garlic is widely used in cooking, though peeling can be time-consuming and leave odors on hands. "The idea behind Garly is simple," said Rick Luteijn of Growers Packers. "A product that is just as easy as it sounds, but still with the quality expected from fresh. We have created a brand that fits the dynamics of retail and stands out to the consumer."

Prepared for retail distribution
The peeled garlic is offered in retail packaging designed for product visibility and efficient handling. According to the company, the product has been developed with scalability in mind, supported by its supply chain and delivery capacity to serve supermarkets across Europe.

Complementary to Growers Packers' portfolio
Growers Packers' main focus remains the year-round supply of berries, cherries, and Conference pears. "That is where our primary focus lies and where we continue to grow," Luteijn said. "Garly is a strategic brand initiative that I am developing together with a specialized marketing team, in close cooperation with category managers from retail. It complements our work but does not replace it."

Growers Packers will present its product range, including peeled garlic, during Fruit Attraction in Madrid at the HFG Pavilion, Hall 6 - C06.
