The Spanish stone fruit season is approaching its end. It's been a challenging season due to unfavorable weather, but demand was strong in the first few months of the season.

"It has been a difficult season due to climate instability, which has required us to pay close attention to any incident," stated José Velasco, CEO of El Ciruelo. "Overall, it will be a good season for Murcia. The fruit had a high sugar content. Additionally, favorable weather in Europe during May and June increased consumption, resulting in demand exceeding our supply."
This season, El Ciruelo will produce over 40,000 tons of stone fruit and about 70,000 tons of table grapes, as it forecast at the start of the season, which is now halfway through.

The company will participate in the upcoming Fruit Attraction fair that will be held in Madrid from September 30 to October 2. There, it will showcase all the developments made during the season, along with its new packaging options for products from Spain and Brazil. "This allows us to show our clients all the alternatives available and adapt to their needs in each market," Velasco stated.
"Fruit Attraction is becoming a key fair on the calendar. It's held at an important point in the season when we can review the results of the first part of the harvest, analyze the end of the season, and examine data on imported grapes from our estates in Brazil and other sources," he stated.

"Madrid has become a meeting point for all producing countries, both from Europe and other continents. The fair is scheduled at an ideal time to discuss new seasons and for customers and growers to jointly analyze challenges and solutions, share ideas, and coordinate strategies for the upcoming season," Velasco stated.
El Ciruelo will welcome visitors at stand 7C18 in Hall 7.
